The Apple iPhone 3GS is the latest version of the iconic line of smartphones, and though the improvements over the original are evolutionary rather than revolutionary, it continues to be the smartphone to beat. With a 3.5" multitouch screen, blazing fast speed from either AT&T or wifi, a built-in accelerometer, it is fun to use as an iPod, and internet tablet, or gaming device--and a phone or email device (push email via Microsoft Exchange or Yahoo! Mail). A huge advantage the iPhone has is it's iPhone App Store, with tens of thousands of fun, useful, and sometimes kooky applications that can downloaded. The iPhone is not perfect though: for people who type a lot, the on screen virtual keyboard may be a bit clumsy. The battery is non-replaceable, and its life ranges from adequate at best to atrocious at worst. And you are stuck for now with AT&T as the exclusive carrier.

The already great iPhone3G gets a faster CPU, software upgrades, a snazzy video camera and a superfluous magnetic compass all for extortious AT&T prices!!!
