The Blackberry Pearl Flip 8200 is very similar to the Pearl 8100 in that it brings all the benefits of Blackberry's push email and personal information management software to a phone-size form factor--the main difference from the Pearl 8100 being the clamshell design. The screen size is slightly larger at 2.4", which is fine for messaging but may be small for web surfing or other multimedia applications, and the Pearl Flip 8200 also uses a multitap keyboard, instead of a full QWERTY keyboard, with two letters per button. So the question for buyers who have decided on a Pearl is whether the clamshell design is worth the slightly larger size and weight,. As with all Blackberries, various versions with different network connectivity, are available with different carriers.
